The Central Midlands regional group recently met for a socially distanced walk followed by tea and cake.
This was the first time I have joined the group and was struck by how supportive everybody was, and how this allowed members to discuss the highs and lows of life.
After a walk around the Northamptonshire countryside, we enjoyed excellent drinks and cakes at the Brew Caravan, run by VCF member Sarah Elliott, including the infamous ginger cake!
It was really helpful to share how work, life and church had been affected by lockdown for all of us.
I definitely left feeling encouraged, full of cake and reminded of the great fellowship VCF provides. It also felt like a novelty to venture into a different county and have a change of scenery!
