Job Title

Veterinary Surgeon part time or fulltime at Rackheath Vets a young independent practice (Est Feb 2023)

Rackheath Vets is in a refurbished spacious property which opened 16 months ago and is equipped to a high standard.

We are currently a thriving 2.5 vet practice, and are looking to increase to 3.5 vets

We are located on the outskirts of Norwich, a vibrant university city with

a flourishing arts, music and cultural scene, independent shops, a covered market, and lively restaurants. The Norfolk Coast is within easy reach with fantastic wildlife, and miles of glorious beaches and the Norfolk Broads is on our doorstep a great place for birdwatching and water sports.

Job Responsibilities and requirements

We are looking for someone who wants to enjoy the challenge of first opinion small animal practice. Our aim is to provide exceptional care for our patients and clients through a team with shared values of trustworthiness, compassion, and a desire to progress. We are looking for someone who already has or is looking to develop the softer skills essential to building trusting relationships with colleagues and clients.

As a young startup we are keen to develop an amazing team who enjoy the variety of clinical examination, routine and advanced surgery, imaging and medical workups, this position could suit an experienced vet or a newly qualified vet who will be fully supported through Vet GDP.

Company and Benefits

Benefits include 5 days paid CPD, 30 days Annual Leave (including Bank Holidays), Membership of the RCVS and other Professional Bodies, a 4-day working week with shared Saturday (mornings only) and no OOH. Salary of £36,000 – £60,000 depending on qualification and experience.
