Teaching group Zoom

Not long into lockdown, I felt God speaking to me about connecting with other VCF members who were teaching. I only started teaching eighteen months ago, taking up a position at Nottingham Vet School. It has been so encouraging to connect with others who have also recently made the move into teaching, as well as some who have been teaching for many years and so have a lot of wisdom and experience to offer.
Over the last few months, ten of us have started to get to know each other, and have been able to share prayer and praise points by email, and encourage each other as we experience a very new way of teaching, with everything done online.
We have also had our first Zoom meeting, and hope to do this every few months. It was so good to put faces to names, to get to know each other better, and to pray for the various vet schools and the challenges and opportunities there. Of the seven people on the Zoom, four have started new jobs or roles during lockdown! One way we got to know each other better was to find out what we would all do if we were not vets. The answers ranged from an architect to a gardener, from a movie critic to a demolition expert! I leave you to guess who was who.
If there is anyone else out there who is involved in teaching, and who would like to be part of this group, do get in touch. You can email me via regional@vcf.org.uk. ‘Let us not give up meeting together’ Hebrews 10:25. Kerry
