BCVA 2022

Ali had very kindly booked a room with bacon baps at The Birmingham Hippodrome for our VCF BCVA breakfast meeting on Friday 21st October.
She welcomed us all and we each gave a short introduction of who we were and where we worked so we were all soon chatting with friends old and new.
The bible reading that we looked at was taken from John chapter 15, verses 4, 7 and 8, which begins “Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself”
We shared news of the VCF regional groups and how our own churches had survived the Covid period and what our churches were doing now for worship. This is often a mixture of zoom and in person.
We recognised how particularly difficult this time had been for our Vet Students and how isolated they must have felt at times.
As there was a good representation of folk from Northern Ireland, we put together a plan to try and meet more regularly. George Brownlee and I will be in touch with VCF Northern Ireland members so watch this space!
Prayer requests were shared and we all felt ready to face the day having started with such gentle fellowship. It is so precious a time to share both good news and sad news together at these meetings.
