VCF Scotland Weekend 2024

When: 4th to 6th October 2024
Time: Arrive from 6pm on the Friday evening, leave after lunch ~ 2pm on the Sunday
Place: Cairngorms Christian Centre http://cairngormschristiancentre.co.uk/
Travel options: Car, train or bus. If train or bus then we can probably arrange a pick up in a car from the nearest train/bus stations in Kingussie/Aviemore.
Cost: £140 per adult, £100 per student, £50 child/teenager (4-16y), £FREE for children under 4 years for the weekend. Or a day rate of £40 per adult for the weekend (you find your own accommodation).
Accommodation is primarily adult bunk beds. These are some of the biggest bunk beds I have ever slept in, and very solid. Some rooms have two bunks, others have more. There are also two rooms with twin beds, which will be allocated on a first come, first served basis dependent on ease of sleeping requirements… We will allocate beds/rooms with the aim of keeping families together, but dependent on who books in, in order that we can use the space (male/female rooms etc), you may be put in a different room to your spouse. In essence – you’re reserving a bed, not a room.
Food Meals will be provided on Saturday and Sunday On the Friday please make sure to either bring your dinner with you, or eat en route.

Register    –  Booking has now closed but we have kept back a few spaces for  students –  If you wish to book in please contact scotland@vcf.org.uk.

We would love people to come and we want it to be family friendly. The speaker is Guy Gordon, a vet in Thurso, who is a member of the local Baptist church there. He plays the piano, helping lead worship in the services, and also speaks there too. He has a real heart to speak God’s word, in a way that will be honouring God, with something to challenge or take away afterwards. He’s aware that there may be teenagers as well as adults to speak to.

There will be a separate children’s worker who will teach the kids during the talk times.

Sadly no dogs are allowed in the centre.

We would love everyone who wishes to come to feel free to do so. If costs are an issue please feel free to make use of the discount codes listed on the booking system to give you 10-50% off get in touch – don’t be shy to ask – we would love to subsidise you and enjoy your presence rather than miss out on seeing you! Conversely, if anyone would like to subsidise others to come, please do feel free to add an additional donation  to your booking.

Any questions please email scotland@vcf.org.uk
