‘On Earth as It Is in Heaven: Life in Communion’

Over the weekend, our speaker Phelim Doherty, will explore the power of the communion Christ brings us into—with Himself and with one another. In a world that increasingly encourages us to live as isolated individuals, even with our modern technology, we are reminded that we were not created for self, but for community. We were formed for relationships and belong to the family of God. As the body of Christ, we need one another to encourage, strengthen and shape us into His likeness. Together, we will celebrate the joy and power of gathering in His name and by His Spirit as His body.

About Phelim:

We are thrilled to have Phelim Doherty back as our speaker over the weekend. In 2009 he was one of the main speakers at our conference on focusing on Christian ethics. He is an unusual combination of veterinary surgeon, pastor, author and Bible teacher from Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland. After leaving veterinary medicine he remained closely connected with the profession even after entering ministry.

Phelim’s teaching centres on our identity in Christ and the life we share with Him, emphasising God’s unconditional love, grace, and our union with Christ. He encourages believers to live as sons and daughters of God, free from legalism and religious striving, and to grow together as the family of God, sharing the life of Christ.
